The harpsichord is a wonderful instrument that has a long history intertwined with both interesting personalities and events, described in essayelites.com from https://essayelites.com/ Construction of the rim-front end assembly begins with gluing the tail-spine corner. The clamps grip glue blocks which have been glued to the case sides. The glue blocks are later chiseled and sanded off. The mortises for the front end pieces and lower frames can be seen in the spine.
