The soundboard, bottom view, shows the four-foot hitchpin rail, the cutoff bar, the ribs and the rose. The ends of the cutoff bar and ribs are tapered very thin and held with glued fabric, lest they release and rattle. The rose is held with eight overlapping strips of fabric.
